This contest was held on Sunday, at the end of the 2012 Spring Training. Although it had not been announced in the schedule, there were still around 15 contestants, who were eager to win a first place prize. With the object to throw a throwbag into, or over a garbage can with two rebar uprights on the sides, the competition thinned quickly during the elimination rounds. The throwing started at 30 feet, and for the successful throwers, it was then moved back 5 feet at a time for every round. The final winning throw was by the commodore Ray Mei at 45 feet, followed by Crash for second place. The award for first place was a throwbag, and for second, a T-shirt. A good time was had by all. There may be some changes for next year, including possibly having the setup available all weekend for people to practice, and a start time that is more convenient for people. Please join us for next year’s competition!
